Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Brentwood Country Mart has a charmingly rustic appearance with chic boutiques and eateries housed within red barn-like structures. It’s been a favorite shopping destination of Hollywood A-listers since it opened in the 1940s, from old-school Hollywood royalty such as Burt Lancaster and Elizabeth Taylor to contemporary superstars like Ben Affleck and Reese Witherspoon. There are almost two dozen retailers at Brentwood Country Mart, including Christian Louboutin for stylish footwear, Broken English Jewelry for gorgeous pieces from top L.A. designers, Hudson Grace for elegant homeware, and Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop apothecary. Brentwood Country Mart also has an outdoor dining area surrounding a roaring fire pit.

Dining choices include gourmet vegetarian burgers at Barney’s Burgers, artisanal Californian cuisine and baked goods at Farmshop, mouthwatering ribs and chicken at Reddi-Chick BBQ, and exquisite Italian coffee at Caffe Luxxe. San Vicente Boulevard boasts some of the finest restaurants in Los Angeles. Baltaire Restaurant is an impeccably stylish steakhouse serving huge cuts of highest-grade steaks and magnificent seafood. Their sublime meals are paired with a fine selection of Napa Valley and European wines, as well as a curated selection of perfectly executed cocktails. This upscale dining destination features a gorgeous outdoor terrace with a retractable roof and an elegant lounge with twinkling live piano. Katsuya Brentwood is another revered fine dining establishment on San Vicente Boulevard. Katsuya’s beautifully designed interior is a favorite hangout of movie stars and powerful talent agents. Their menu includes both traditional and innovative sushi with specialties such as baked snow crab hand rolls and tuna on buttery grilled rice. Harry’s Wine Depot & Tavern is a hidden neighborhood gem with eight beers on tap and wine sold by the glass or case. On Sundays, Brentwood Farmers Market features vendors selling fresh produce from local farms alongside gourmet prepared foodstuffs.
